Visit to the Oxfordshire Records Office
I visited the Oxfordshire Records Office yesterday. While I was there I collected information from several of the Henley registration district parish registers and a couple of the Abingdon ones. Contact me if you have any ancestors in that area.
Hi Pat, I've just found your wonderful offer and hope you're still receiving these posts. I don't know where my Martha Swadling was born (1841 census just indicates she was born in the county of Oxfordshire) but she did live in Brightwell Baldwin from 1799 when she married Anthony Smith. I think she was born about 1773 but no further clues to parents. Does she feature in your Henley pickings? Robyn Hukin rhukin@iinet.net.au
